The European Justice Forum welcomes the election of Ursula von der Leyen as President of the European Commission
On 16th of July 2019, Ursula von der Leyen was officially confirmed as the next European Commission President. MEPs backed her appointment and elected the first woman to lead the Commission, making the political leadership more diverse and inclusive in the European Union.
