ECC-Net

The European Consumer Centres Network is a network of bodies providing advice and assistance on consumer rights and means of obtaining redress, especially with regard to cross-border issues. The Network is a product of a merger of two earlier networks of consumer advice bodies: European Consumer Centres (Euroguichets) – consumer advisory bodies, and the European Extra-Judicial Network (EEJ Net) which assisted consumers in resolving disputes using ADR mechanisms. The ECC Net cooperates with other EU-wide networks: FIN Net, Solvit, and the European Judicial Network in Civil and Commercial Matters.

The European Consumer Centre in the respective countries can

  • explain rights to consumers;
  • help consumers to settle a dispute with a seller based in another EU country (or Iceland or Norway);
  • tell consumers who to contact if they can't help.
